Akeem Chance, the young man affectionately known as, “Preedy” is one of Trinidad and Tobago’s gems.  An entertainer in every sense of the word, hails from the Maloney Gardens in East Trinidad.  He began his musical career in 2011 as a songwriter and vocalist.  Since then, “Preedy” has written numerous soca tracks for himself as well as for some of soca music’s top performers including Machel Montano, Patrice Roberts, and Nailah Blackman.  In 2014, “Preedy” ventured into the realm of stage performance.  He delivered a song called “Wining Champion”, which essentially found flavor with the masses in the Caribbean.  In 2016, he placed 2nd in the International Soca Monarch Competition in Trinidad and Tobago with “Veteran” a massive accomplishment for a somewhat unknown artiste.  In 2018, “Preedy” pushed the envelope collaborating with Soul Train Winner, Bunji Garlin, to sing “Share It” which became an anthem for the carnival season.  Soca music has catapulted Akeem “Preedy” Chance to unexpected stardom in Trinidad and Tobago.  His hope is that the future of his career will include an international fan base, a nomination for a Grammy Award, and certainly a catalogue of musical hits that surpasses all expectations.
